Today, Citizens Voice joins millions across Africa in celebrating African Children’s Day, a day dedicated to recognizing the rights, potential, and future of every child.
African Children’s Day reminds us that children are not only the leaders of tomorrow—they are citizens of today. Their voices matter, their dreams matter, and their well-being matters.
Why This Day Matters
Across Sierra Leone and many parts of Africa, children continue to face challenges that affect their ability to reach their full potential. These challenges include:

* Child protection concerns

* Limited access to technology and digital skills
* Health and nutrition challenges
* Barriers to participation and inclusion

Our Commitment
At Citizens Voice, we believe that empowering children and young people is essential for building stronger communities and a better future.
Through civic education, digital inclusion, youth empowerment initiatives, community engagement, and our Digital Skills Scholarship (DSS) Program, we are committed to creating opportunities that help young people develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed.
We also believe that children should be heard in conversations that affect their lives, communities, and future.
