Citizens Voice Sierra Leone Selected as DDISA Innovation Partner

Citizens Voice Sierra Leone is proud to announce our selection as an Innovation Partner in the Digital Democracy Initiative for Sub-Saharan Africa (DDISA).
DDISA is a regional programme led by CIVICUS: World Alliance for Citizen Participation, implemented in collaboration with OpenUp, the Civic Tech Innovation Network, and Wits Enterprise, with funding support from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Union. The programme supports civil society organisations across Sub-Saharan Africa that are using civic technology to strengthen participation, accountability, and inclusion in governance.
For Citizens Voice, this partnership means dedicated technical support, capacity-building, and connection to a wider network of digital democracy innovators working across the region — support that will directly strengthen our civic engagement work here in Kenema and as we grow into new communities.
We've already taken part in DDISA Workshop 2: Building Data Readiness for Digital Democracy Organisations, sharpening how we collect, manage, and use data to better serve the communities we work with.
This partnership marks another step in our journey toward a digitally empowered Sierra Leone — one where citizens have the tools and the platform to participate meaningfully in governance and hold institutions accountable.
Every Voice Matters.
